Mayor declares Academy for Lifelong Learning Day

Saratoga Springs City Mayor Scott T. Johnson proclaimed September 7 as Academy for Lifelong Learning Day in the city in recognition of the Academy's 20th Anniversary. Academy members met on that day at their Orientation Brunch and began study groups on Monday, September 10. The Academy, sponsored by SUNY Empire State College and associated with the college’s Office of Communications and Government Relations, is a membership organization offering non-credit academic study groups, as well as social and leadership opportunities to older learners. Openings remain in several study groups and registrations are still being accepted. Interested parties may obtain fall brochures in local libraries, by calling the A.L.L. office (587-2100, ext. 2415) or on the Academy web site:www.esc.edu/ALL.
