Daughters of the American Revolution helps Literacy New York program

On Nov. 15 Maria Lange, Program Coordinator for Literacy New York Greater Capital Region/Saratoga County, and Cheryl Doyle of the Saratoga Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution subscribed for a new feature to help the students of the Literacy New York program.  A donation from the Saratoga Chapter DAR has allowed the literacy program to acquire "News for You on-line".  This will allow readers at differing levels to read the printed weekly news, while listening to it being read to them on-line.  It also features interactive comprehension, vocabulary and crosswords.  The Saratoga Chapter DAR also donated a check to be use for replacing some of the basic books needed to continue the work of the Literacy New York program at 49 Henry Street, Saratoga Springs.
