Visitors Center features two holiday exhibits for children

It has been said that there are not Seven Wonders of the World in the eyes of a child.  There are seven million.  Children are at the core of the holiday season.

The December exhibit at the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center focuses on children.  Two companion exhibits are currently on display:  “Believe!” photos and excepts from The Polar Express excursion currently offered on the Saratoga-North Creek train leaving from the Saratoga Springs Amtrak Station; and “Dear Tourist” letters from Ms. Montana’s third grade class at Greenfield Elementary School.

The letters were generated through vocabulary – considering the word “tourist” and using the word in a persuasive letter to tourists telling them why they should come to Saratoga.  The original compositions can be viewed in a notebook and each child’s text has been typed for easy reading and paired with their photo.  The exhibit also displays the student’s rendition of travel posters.  Both the letters and paintings are a delight and guaranteed to bring a wealth of levity and laughter to the heart.

The exhibit will be on display at the Visitor Center through December 28th.  The Visitor Center is located at 297 Broadway at corner of Congress Street and Broadway.  The Visitor Center is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Saturday.  For more information, call Johnnie Roberts at 518-587-3241.
