Local Ford, Jeep dealers donate to Operation Adopt-A-Soldier

On Dec. 1 Adirondack Broadcasting’s group of radio stations (Froggy 107.1, 100.3 The Point, Q-101.7, and Classic Country 1410am and Fox Sports 1230am) began taking donations for care packages to be purchased through Operation Adopt a Soldier. The campaign, called “Santa for a Soldier” encouraged the public to donate to Operation Adopt A Soldier for three weeks in December. Donations were dropped off at the radio station group’s office at 89 Everts Avenue in Queensbury as well as presented directly to Operation Adopt a Soldier located on Route 50 in Wilton, NY.

The total amount collected for this promotion was $7,247.00. Adirondack Broadcasting is proud to announce that NEMER Ford and NEMER Chrysler Jeep Dodge matched all donations from Santa for a Soldier and Tuesday, January 3rd, Managers, Matt Murphy, of NEMER Ford and Matt Gordon, of NEMER Chrysler Jeep Dodge presented a check to Cliff Seguin, Chairman and Terri Perry, co-chairman of Operation Adopt a Soldier in the exact amount, $7,247.00.


"Operation Adopt a Soldier, Inc." (OAS) is an all volunteer, not for profit organization, comprised of many men and women who all are committed to aiding the local men and women of the US military. Chairman and founder of Operation Adopt a Soldier, is Cliff Seguin. Operation Adopt a Soldier has about 600 soldiers currently on the mailing list who receive care packages and other requests. OAS is located on Route 50 in Wilton, NY.
